   The Port of Oakland's new Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Facility (ARFF) is a 25,000 square foot facility located at the Oakland International Airport. 

   A Central Core area serves as a command and training center as well as living areas for ARFF crews. The Apparatus Room has ten vehicle bays capable of supporting two 75 kip Chubb Pathfinders per bay and provides a workshop area, a hose drying room, and a fueling area. The structure is a pile-supported structural slab with concrete and concrete masonry walls, and a steel roof structure. The approximate cost was $9.9 million.
